In India, the movie songs have dominated the musical arena for decades. Over the years people have been enchanted to the tunes of various movie songs. It was during the 1990s that the satellite TV channels were introduced to India that resulted into the emergence of one of the popular musical channels, MTV. During this time a number of pop singers emerged in the Indian musical scenario and some of the most enchanting Indian pop songs were sung. Baba Sehgal and Alisha Chinai were the two most popular singers of that time. 'Thanda Thanda Pani' was the first popular music album that featured some enchanting numbers sung by Baba Sehgal. Some of the most popular chartbursters were the songs like- Dil Dhadke, Thanda Thanda Pani and Ek Ladki Ne Mujhko Chor Kaha. Alisha Chinai got the nickname of Indian Madonna for singing one of the best musical albums till today, 'Made in India'.
